Tigers dominate the Indians
This weekend the Varsity Tigers opened the 2012 football season against long time rival, the Groveton Indians. The game was delayed on Friday and finally postponed to Saturday due to heavy lightening.
During the pre game ceremony our cheerleaders met the opposing squad mid field to present a welcoming gift.
The players were excited and ready to play as they ran through the tunnel!!!

It's going to be a GREAT year for Tiger Nation!!!!

Football Wives
Earlier this month the football coaches' wives gathered for dinner and to get to know one another better! This is a wonderful group of women and I am so happy to have each of them alongside me this year :)
I gave them goody baskets full of noise makers, pom poms, stadium snacks and all things orange!! Now we are ready to cheer on the Tigers (and our favorite coaches) on game day :)

Football Camp 2012
In late July the coaches hosted a local football camp for future tigers grades 3-9. They had a great turn out with 25 boys in attendance. The participants developed both offensive and defensive techniques through drills and repetition.
These guys did a terrific job and we look forward to seeing them bring their talents to the field in the years to come!!
